More arrests in Tucson New Year's Eve murderPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Four more arrests in the deadly New Year's Eve shooting on the east side. Now a total of five people face first degree murder charges in the death of 17-year-old Carlos Sandoval.
With help from the Marshal service and the Fugitive Investigative Strike Team, deputies arrested Michael Olague, Jamonte Olague, Juliana Olague and Frank Rios.
"The challenges that this case posed for invstigators was that there were a lot of witnesses, a lot of neighbors who had a lot of substantial information for them. It was a collaborative effort between homicide detectives, the fugitive unit and the Arizona task force and it just came all together," said Dawn Barkman from the Pima County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators have not revealed each suspect's alleged role in the fatal shooting because they're still compiling evidence.
