New Arizona laws protecting abuse victims in effectPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A new year means new laws in the State of Arizona. A couple of the new laws target abuse.
Starting in 2012 people convicted of a dangerous crime against children of sexual assault will receive an additional $500 fine.
The funds will help counties pay for medical or forensic interviews.
Also this year, the Secretary of State will be required to establish a program to protect residential addresses of victims of domestic abuse.
