3 Arrested in Scottsdale Apple Store burglary

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police arrested three Mesa residents in connection with a burglary at an Apple Store in the Scottsdale Quarter early Monday morning.

Scottsdale police said six people smashed the front door of the store near Scottsdale Road and Greenway Parkway then removed electronic and computer merchandise.

Three of the suspects left in a vehicle and the others fled on foot.

A cab driver in the area followed the suspect vehicle south along Scottsdale Road. Police said the suspects shot at the driver, but he was not injured.

Police initiated a ground and air search and located the suspects' vehicle in the area of Thunderbird Road and 64th Street.

James Combs, 19, was found one block south of the vehicle and a juvenile was located near 72nd Street and Thunderbird Road. Daniella Sierra, 18, was located at a business in the area.

They were booked into Scottsdale City Jail for various felony burglary and weapons charges.

The other suspects have not been located.

The total loss was estimated between $70,000 and $80,000 in merchandise and damage. Some merchandise was recovered.
