Headlines: OV road closures; Tucson gas prices; Arizona minimum wage increase

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Some road work is set to begin near Oro Valley Country Club.

Starting Tuesday, Southwest Gas and Northern Pipeline will be replacing the gas main and services.

Streets that will see construction include Greencock Drive, Golf View Drive and Valle de Oro Road.

Not all will be affected for the entire project. It should take about four months to complete.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Gas prices are steadily rising, up 5¢ a gallon in Tucson since last week.

The average price for a gallon of unleaded is $3.08.

The national average is up 2.4¢ cents to $3.25 a gallon.

A year ago prices were 32¢ a gallon lower than they are right now.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- For many Arizonans, the new year brings with it a slightly bigger paycheck.

Arizona is one of eight states whose minimum wage is going up.

It's now $7.65 an hour, up 30¢ from $7.35 an hour.

That amounts to about $12 more per week for a full time worker.

Washington State is the first state to mandate a $9 per hour minimum wage with Monday's increase.
