Model railway constructed at Tucson VA hospitalPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson Garden Railway Society was hard at work Tuesday morning at the Southern Arizona VA hospital.
The group was building a 42-foot model railway for the annual display for vets, visitors, and children.
This is the 9th year of the train display and the crews were working hard to get things ready.
"We'll spend about three hours getting the trailers unloaded and the track put up and the train is operating another 2 to 3 hours decorating the layout for our," said Willis Fagg from the Tucson Garden Railway Society.
The display runs until Friday. It closes at 4 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday and at noon on Friday and it's free to the public.
