Phoenix Weather: Warm-Up AheadPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The new week should bring warmer afternoons across Arizona, although nights and mornings should stay chilly.
A ridge of high pressure is forecast to set up over the Southwest, keeping the jet stream and storm track to our north. Under sunny skies, valley highs today are expected to top out in the low 60s, rising to near 70 degrees by mid-week.
Overnight lows stay chilly under clear skies, dipping to the 30s again tonight into tomorrow morning. Sunshine is expected in the high country, too, with highs in the 40s. No rain or snow is forecast for the next week.
