Hopi tribe suffers setback in Snowbowl waste water casePosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Hopi tribe's bid to stop the city of Flagstaff from selling recycled waste water to the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort has suffered a setback.
A Coconino County Superior Court judge ruled in favor of the city Friday, saying major points in the case had already been decided in an earlier federal court ruling. The judge said the tribe was legally required to raise its objections earlier.
Snowbowl is already in the process of building pipes to bring the waste water up the mountain. There is no word on whether the Hopi tribe will appeal the ruling.
