Warming trend for holiday weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The good news? We'll see a warming trend across Arizona for the holiday weekend. In the Valley, that means by Christmas Day we should see highs in the mid-60s.
The bad news? We're going to start some serious work on the seasonal "brown cloud" as a stagnant weather pattern sets up over metro Phoenix. As a result, Maricopa County has issued No Burn Days for both Saturday and Sunday. Also, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality predicts dust and particulate levels with be in the unhealthful range both days.
Next week, temps will continue to warm up. By New Year's Eve, we expect highs in the low 70s.
