Cooler weather continuesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Another storm system brought a wet start to the day for the Valley.
Light rain started overnight and continued throughout the morning hours, leaving wet roadways behind. Temperatures were mild, with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Look for mostly cloudy skies this afternoon, with a high of about 61 degrees.
More sunshine is expected over the next couple of days, but a dry cold front Thursday will drop temperatures back to the 50s, with overnight lows bottoming out in the low to mid 30s around town Friday and Saturday mornings. It will also bring very windy weather Thursday and Thursday night to the high country and Western Arizona.
Warmer weather is expected early next week, and Sunday, Christmas Day, looks beautiful, with highs in the mid to upper 60s and mostly sunny skies.
