MESA, Ariz -- Police say a woman who was last seen by a family member on Monday has been found in Mesa.
According to police, Sophia Marie Vargas, 28, is fine and has contacted her family.
On Monday night, Vargas told her cousin she was planning to get together with some people she met on the Internet. While it's not clear if she made it to that meeting, Vargas sent a text message to her cousin at about 11 p.m., saying she had been drinking and was feeling nauseous.
Nobody had heard from Vargas for several days. She did not show up for work or school. Police say Vargas had been depressed over the loss of her sister but did not express any intentions of harming herself.
It's not clear where Vargas has been for the past week.
