1)    Las Noches de las Luminarias: Desert Botanical Garden presents their premier holiday event, filled with musical entertainment, delicious food, and 8,000 hand-lit luminarias.  Runs through December 30, on December 18-23 and December 26-30, 5:30-9:30 p.m. *Discounted tickets available on’s Chase Ticket Marketplace for this week’s dates. 

2)    American Pastorela: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Ethnic Studies But Were Afraid To Ask:  Presented by New Carpa Theater Co., at the Third Street Theatre in Phoenix, this is the last weekend of the show, only two more show times!  Don’t miss this smart and humorous show by James Garcia, today (Saturday) at 7:30 p.m. and tomorrow (Sunday, Dec. 18) at 2:00 p.m. *Discount tickets STILL available on’s Chase Ticket Marketplace.

3)    Mornings at Seven & Annie Jr.: Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre, located on Scottsdale Road, has two GREAT shows, in their last weekend.  Mornings at Seven is a hilarious comedy, set in 1939, about four elderly sisters, today (Saturday) at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday (tomorrow, December 18) at 2:00 p.m.  Annie Jr., part of the Desert Stages Theatre Children’s Series, with two rotating casts of children, is the upbeat, musical production of Annie, show times today (Saturday) at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday (tomorrow, December 18) at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  

4)    Lyle the Crocodile: It's the holiday season in New York City and the Primms are moving into a new apartment. Imagine their surprise when they find a crocodile asleep in the bathtub!  This wonderful production for children is presented by Childsplay, at the Tempe Center for the Arts.  Open now through December 24, with show times on Tuesday-Thursday 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. Only 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 24. **giveaway of a family four-pack of tickets to any of the Lyle the Crocodile performances through December 24.
