Arby's employee captures robbery on videoPosted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A Glendale Arby's was robbed last weekend and an employee captured it all on video.
Police said a man entered the Arby's at 49th Avenue and Thunderbird Road just before 9 p.m. Saturday and contacted the employee behind the counter. The suspect told the employee he was robbing the business and demanded all the money from the register.
The employee opened the register and the suspect took all the cash then fled the restaurant on foot. He was last seen running eastbound on Thunderbird Road.
The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, 20 to 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black-and-gray plaid hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black gloves and white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
The juvenile victim recorded the robbery with her cellphone. Police released the video on Friday but stress that they do not encourage this activity as it could place the worker in jeopardy.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspect.
