BENSON, Ariz. -- A bar fight led to the death of a Benson man Tuesday night.

Cochise County sheriff's deputies responded to Mescal Bar & Grill in Mescal, Ariz., at about 11 p.m.

Witnesses said a man and a woman started fighting inside the bar before other people got involved and the fight moved to the parking lot, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Carol Capas.

Steven Comaduran, 30, of Benson, and Mickey Wahl, 36, of Mescal, continued fighting before Wahl attempted to drive away in a truck.

Capas said Comaduran was hanging onto the driver's door and was dragged approximately 100 yards. He then slipped and fell under the truck before being run over with the rear tires.

Emergency medical personnel attempted to treat Comaduran at the scene for severe head trauma before he was pronounced dead.

Wahl was taken into custody at his home. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of manslaughter and second-degree murder.
