Tucson crime: Arrests in security guard beating; Shooting victim ID'd

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Two of the three men wanted in connection with the beating of a Circle K security guard have been busted.  And police are tying them to two other violent crimes.

Five people in all are under arrest including Josef Boitano, Mohamed Musa, Felix Noriega, Janice Manuel, and Kpou Sawi Armstrong.

Besides the December 7 beating at the Circle K at Oracle and Grant, police say they were involved with an incident Monday night at First Avenue and Price.  Someone was firing a gun.

Then Monday night after 11, police say they robbed another Circle K on Stone and Roger and beat up the clerk.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- Police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting Monday afternoon on Tucson’s south side.

TPD says 29-year-old Diego Oquita of Douglas was shot after an argument between two groups of young men.

It happened on West Calle Castile, near Valencia and 12th Avenue.

When police got there, the victim was lying in the street with gunshot wounds.  He later died at the hospital.

Police are looking for two people who left in a red Jaguar.

One of them was wearing a ski mask.
