GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police arrested a suspect in the murder of a man gunned down in his driveway.

Clenten Meek, 31, was booked into Fourth Avenue Jail Thursday morning for one count of first-degree murder.

Police responded to a shooting near 50th Lane and Butler Drive Sunday morning and found Arsen M. Abayev, 34, lying in his driveway. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

At the time, police said they did not believe the shooting was random. According to court documents, Meek and Abayev knew each other and may have had a dispute over money and guns.

Abayev was married and had two young children. He worked at the family-owned barber shop and gold trading business in North Phoenix.

Police took Meek into custody Wednesday night at a home in Tonopah.
