Tucson headlines: Choir benefit concert; Supervisors move forward with courts complex; New non-stop from Tucson airport

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson choir, the Sons of Orpheus, performed Wednesday night.

The 14th annual Gala Holiday Concert benefits the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

The concert was held at the Berger Performing Arts Center at the Deaf and Blind School.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Pima County Board of Supervisors agrees to go ahead with interim financing for the Joint Justice Municipal Courts Complex.

Supervisors decided to proceed, but only if the Tucson City Council agrees next week to pay for its share of the facility.

A bond passed by voters provided money for the building but there has been a lack of funding from the county and city to complete the project.

Its been in limbo for more than three years.

It's hoped the building can be started now while construction prices are more favorable.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- Southwest Airlines announces new service between Tucson and Baltimore.

Its the first non-stop to Baltimore in TIA history and will be offered on a seasonal basis.

The flights are being added to handle additional demand created during the Gem and Mineral Show and during the Accenture Match Play Championship.

Daily flights will be available February 12 through April 9.
