Peoria police seek bank robber

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Peoria police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed the Compass Bank near 107th and Olive avenues on Tuesday.

Police said the suspect walked into the bank at 4:10 p.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled in a 2005-2007 teal four-door Saturn Ion occupied by a woman in the passenger seat.

Police released surveillance photos of the bank robber on Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, 30 to 35 years old with a shaved head, blue eyes and a thin build.  He was wearing a white painter's hat, tan long-sleeved shirt, white-washed jeans and white tennis shoes. 

The passenger is described as a white female with blonde hair and 20 to 30 years old.

The suspects are facing charges of bank robbery.
