Tips to teach kids restraint, generosityPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Sometimes during the holiday season, kids can develop a case of the "gimmies," especially as they put together their wish lists for Santa.
Financial expert Sharon Lechter sat down with Tess Rafols to share some tips to teach kids restraint and even generosity.
Her motto is "Share from the heart, not from the pocketbook."
"The greatest gift you can give your child is to give them the opportunity to give to others," Lechter explained.
She also pointed out that kids learn by example so it's a good time to examine your own habits and behaviors.
