PHOENIX -- Silent Witness is offering a reward to help find a suspect who stole a customer's necklace inside a fast-food restaurant.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, a male entered the Burger King at 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix and placed an order.

Police said the suspect walked by a 34-year-old man and grabbed the necklace he was wearing. After a short struggle with the victim, the suspect ran out of the restaurant and left the area on a city bus.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black-and-red baseball cap, white T-shirt, tan shorts, white socks and red-and-white tennis shoes at the time of the crime.

Police released photos and video of the suspect on Friday.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or silentwitness.org.
