MESA, Ariz. -- A Mesa woman with dementia who had been missing for nearly 12 hours has been found safe in Tempe.
According to police, Felicita Flores Ramirez, 80, was last seen between 8 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. at 1209 N. County Club Drive in Mesa where she had been undergoing dialysis. She called for a ride home and was waiting in the lobby, but by the time that person arrived, Ramirez was gone.
Mesa police search all night, but found no sign of her.
Ramirez's son told 3TV his mom was found in Tempe shortly after 7:30 a.m., nearly 12 hours after she was reported missing. It's not clear where Ramirez was all night or how she came to be in Tempe, but she reportedly was safe.
Ramirez's family was especially concerned because Ramirez not only suffers from dementia, but she has diabetes and is dependent on insulin, as well.
