PD: Man wearing ski mask tries to abduct Glendale teen

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Families are on high alert in the West Valley after police say someone tried to abduct a 17-year-old girl near Cactus High School on Monday.

According to the Glendale Police Department, the teen was walking home on 63rd Avenue near Greenway Road at about 3 p.m. when a man wearing a ski mask jumped out of a light blue four-door car and grabbed her arm.

The teen said she yanked her arm away, elbowed him and threw gravel in the man's face to get away.

The girl was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male. He was wearing a light blue shirt and dark jeans at the time of the incident.
