Weekend weather for metro PhoenixPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It was a cloudy and cool Thanksgiving in the Valley of the Sun. Thursday's temperatures topped out at only 68 degrees as a low pressure system moved through. We also saw some sprinkles, although only a trace of rain was recorded at the airport.
Some snow fell in the high country, although snow levels stayed high and most of the white stuff came down in Eastern Arizona.
Friday, temperatures will rebound a bit under mostly sunny skies. Look for Valley highs in the low 70s with lots of sunshine. Lows Friday night will dip to the 40s under clear skies. A ridge of high pressure will bring temperatures up even more over the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and upper 70s expected through early next week.
