TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Police have closed an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in a downtown Tucson-area restaurant parking lot earlier this month.
Tucson police said Friday that 44-year old Timothy Carl Potter suffered injuries that most likely were the result of an accident.
Potter was believed to be homeless and frequented De Anza Park near East Speedway and North Stone Avenue
His body was found Nov. 6 and police originally called it a suspicious death.
The Arizona Daily Star says Potter was released Nov. 5 from a Tucson hospital. He was admitted for injuries caused by blunt force trauma.
Police were unsure whether Potter was the victim of an assault and that's why they began an investigation into the death.
