Redistricting Chair reinstatedPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Supreme Court orders reinstatement of Independent Redistricting Commission Chair Colleen Mathis.
The court said Governor Brewer failed to show Mathis engaged in conduct that gave her constitutional grounds to remove Mathis.
A lawyer challenging the decision said if Mathis was not reinstated, the redistricting commission would be a joke.
The commission is responsible for drawing new congressional and redistricting maps.
