Food Bank unable to distribute holiday food boxesPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The economy is taking a toll on the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
This year it'll be unable to distribute holiday food boxes to the growing number of needy in Tucson.
Food Bank officials say it takes $350,000 to distribute those boxes and they just don't have the money.
Instead, the Food Bank is referring people to the Salvation Army and religious organizations for holiday meals.
