PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix Mayor-elect Greg Stanton has begun assembling his transition team. Stanton announced Wednesday that Karlene Keogh Parks and Paul Luna will lead the team. Stanton also named Paul Blue as his chief of staff.

Stanton says he's also looking for talented mayoral staff members who feel as passionately about the city as he does. He's hoping to put together a team that he describes as dedicated and experienced to advance the city's priorities.

During the campaign, Stanton said the priorities included improving funding for early childhood education and making after-school programs based more on academics. He also aims to make the city's economy more diverse with a focus on technology and health care jobs.
