Warmer Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- Afternoon temperatures should be a bit warmer Wednesday across the Valley of the Sun.  After morning lows in the 40s and 50s, look for mostly sunny skies and afternoon highs near 75 degrees.  That's exactly average for today's date.

We'll warm it up even more tomorrow with a forecast high of 77 degrees before some a storm system brings some changes for our weekend.

A dip in the jet stream will bring a storm system close to us on Friday and Saturday. As it swings by to our north, look for strong southwesterly winds in the high country Friday and Saturday, along with increased cloud cover in the Valley Friday through Sunday.

Temperatures will also come down a bit over the weekend, as well, although Arizona will likely stay dry.  Look for Valley highs in the low 70s Saturday and upper 60s Sunday.

Our next chance of rain and snow comes next Monday.
