Tucson headlines: Man runs over wife; Arrests in robbery; Arrest in south side shooting

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A woman was seriously injured after being run over by her husband.

An argument at a home at Suntan and Sahuarita Road started about 7 A.M. Thursday.  The husband attempted to leave, the wife was in front of the vehicle, and he ran her over.

The wife was transported to UMC by helicopter. 

UPDATE: The woman died as a result of her injuries.  She has been identified as 33-year-old Michelle Lee Masterson.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- Wednesday afternoon, "Ace Auto Cash" on Speedway called police about a shooting during a robbery.

Police say one man distracted the business owner and another tried to rob him at gunpoint, shooting him in the process.

A tip from 88-CRIME led cops to arrest 28-year-old David McKenzie and 25-year-old Kyle Dean.

Both men face felony armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.  The victim is expected to survive.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- Police made an arrest in a shooting that happened Wednesday on the south side.

Lucian Frank, 18, was shot at an apartment complex on 16th Avenue after an argument broke out.

Frank was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.

TPD's gang unit responded to the scene and arrested 21-year-old James Joshua Adams.

He's charged with one count of second degree murder, and illegally possessing a fire-arm, in the shooting.
