Best bargains for November

PHOENIX -- When it comes to shopping, you always want to get the best bang for your buck. With that in mind, there are some consumer items, according to www.kiplinger.com, you might want to snag this month if you're thinking about buying them.

First up are HDTVs. Prices should be the cheapest on off-brand models the entire month of November. However, if you're holding out for brand-name televisions, those won't drop until December. So if you're thinking about TVs, figure out what you want and then buy it in the appropriate month.

Looking for a computer? November is your best bet. Fifteen-inch and 16-inch laptops are supposed to be as low at $325 through November, so check those out. Also, basic desktop computers are selling for as low as $200. However, top-of-the-line brands are selling for around 700 bucks. Again, research what you want to score the best deal.

Movies are fun and November is the cheapest time to find Blu-ray movies. Movie prices will also continue to drop as we approach Black Friday.

Thinking about buying an Android tablet? November is your month. Generic models are expected to sell for around a hundred dollars and, of course, name brands will be more.

You're also supposed to score some bargains on furniture during November. January is traditionally the best month to buy, but experts say the last two Novembers indicated the best furniture deals.

Finally, if you have kids, wait on the toy buying until December. Consumer experts say the 14-day period leading up to Christmas is your best time score deals on gaming consoles, for instance.
