Thursday weather forecastPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Increasing clouds, becoming very windy on Friday with blowing dust. By the afternoon and nighttime hours, we'll add scattered showers to that. In the high country, we're talking snow.
From the National Weather Service:
The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a winter weather advisory above 6000 feet for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from 5 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. MST Saturday.
By late Friday afternoon, the chance for rain and snow showers will increase. While snow levels may originally allow for rain at most elevations, snow levels will quickly descend through the evening and overnight hours becoming as low as 5000 feet midday Saturday.
New snow accumulations around 2 to 5 inches are expected above 6000 feet with locally higher amounts possible over the highest terrain.
