Pet of the Day - CayaPosted: Updated:
#699164 – 2 Years Old – Siberian Husky – Female
Sometimes life can throw you some pretty scary curveballs. Caya would certainly agree. Brought to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona emaciated, limping and suffering from painful lesions caused by an advanced case of Valley Fever, Caya was lucky to be alive. You wouldn’t even recognize her today! After spending three months in a nurturing foster home, Caya is looking and feeling great and on the hunt for love. Excellent with other dogs, children and confident cats, Caya wastes no time in making new friends. Among her favorite activities, Caya enjoys talking to her 3 cat pals in a “Husky” voice, even though they prefer to ignore her. Housetrained, crate trained, mellow and well-mannered, Caya has been the absolute perfect guest for her adoring foster family. Now Caya needs a permanent home with a financially committed owner prepared to care for her special needs. As with many dogs diagnosed with Valley Fever, Caya will require regular medication for the rest of her life to keep her symptoms at bay. But with the proper TLC, Caya will be your constant companion for many years to come! Please ask to meet Caya at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona!
