PHOENIX (AP) -- Special license plates commemorating Arizona's centennial go on sale Monday.
The license plates mark the upcoming anniversary of Arizona's statehood, which happened on Feb. 14, 1912.
A portion of the $25 fee for the plates will benefit the Arizona Centennial 2012 Foundation, which is helping organize education events and projects recognizing the state's 100 years.
The plate's design was approved by the state Legislature and the departments of transportation and public safety.
The plates can be purchased at ADOT offices, third party registration providers or by going to the Foundation's website at www.AZ100Years.org.
