Mesa man missing since Friday needs his medication

MESA, Ariz. -- Mesa police are turning to the public to help find a young man who has the mental capacity of a boy half his age and has been missing for several days.

Cory Hentschel, 23, was last seen at his home in the neighborhood southwest of University Drive and Sossaman Road Friday morning.

According to police, Hentschel has been diagnosed as seriously medically and mentally ill and has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old. Hentschel takes several medications, none of which he has with him.

According to police, with those medicines, he is prone to severe seizures and anger issues.

Hentschel is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 167 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. He is white and has a scar on the right side of his forehead. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

The family says Hentschel has run away in the past, but has always been located and returned home quickly. They are extremely concerned for his well-being.
