Man walking across the country for MS

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- A little more than two years ago, Stephen Homsey suffered a catastrophic 40-foot fall off a Boston apartment building. The accident left him immobile for quite some time.

During his rehabilitation, he promised himself that he would "make the most out of every day and give back as much as I could."

Today, Homsey is doing just that. On May 10, he left the East Coast for a walk across the country. Yes, a walk. It's part of Steps for MS, a non-profit meant to help those living with multiple sclerosis, which is autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, and their families.

Homsey's cross-country route brought him right here to 3TV where he updated Scott Pasmore on his progress and explained why Steps for MS is so important to him.
