Tucson headlines: Child abuse arrest; Bar fight death; Child causes mobile home fire

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson man is charged with child abuse after police say he brought his daughter to the hospital with severe burns, several broken ribs, and bruises across her body.

Over a week ago, the 3-month-old baby girl was treated for her injuries, which prompted the investigation.

Now, the baby's recovering, and her father, 20-year-old Devon Jackson, is in jail, charged with 3 felony counts of child abuse.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson man is dead after collapsing during a bar fight.

A scuffle broke out at the Lazy "V" bar on West Alvaro Road shortly after closing time, and sheriff's deputies tell us they found Marcos Louis Felix laying in front of the bar.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.  It's not clear how he died but an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.


TUCSON, Ariz. -- A child playing with a lighter in a bedroom closet caused a mobile home fire Wednesday morning.

It happened on Ajo Way near Mission Road at about 10:45 A.M.

The smoke alarm sounded, allowing the family to evacuate and call 911.

Firefighters remind parents to keep matches and lighters out of reach of kids.

One firefighter got hurt fighting the fire but it's not serious.
