The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a company called Green Alliance, that's calling consumers in Tucson and Cochise County, attempting to sell them solar panel installation.
The BBB has had multiple consumers call and say that they were called even though their numbers were on the do not call list.
The caller allegedly became very rude and yelled at multiple consumers, and consumers are saying they're getting the impression from the call that Green Alliance is affiliated with their local electric company.
Sulphur Springs Cooperative- the Cochise County electric company- issued a customer alert warning that Green Alliance was telling consumers that if they bought solar panels they would be eligible for a reimbursement program through Sulphur Springs.
Sulphur Springs says the reimbursement program Green Alliance describes does not exist.
Consumers can visit th website http://dsireusa.org/ to check to see which reimbursement programs are available through their electric utility. If someone is thinking about installing solar panels this is a great resource to check with to make sure they're eligible for the reimbursements the solar contractor says they are.
