Tucson candidate forum

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucsonans got another chance to hear from city candidates before they cast their ballots.

There was a candidate forum Monday night at Temple Emanuel.  This time both Republican and Democratic mayoral candidates showed up to give remarks and answer audience questions.

A spokesperson for the forum estimates about 250 people showed up.

"Every single candidate has shown up, so this is the first forum and the only forum in which you will see every candidate lined up and speaking their views on the issues," said Alison Hughes from the Pima County Women's Commission.

A recent poll published in the Tucson Weekly shows Democrat Jonathan Rothschild leading Republican candidate Rick Grinnell by 17 points.
