John Hays, SCC Floodplain Coordinator, says Santa Cruz County Supervisors have approved an intergovernmental agreement with the State to cover upgrades, expansion and maintenance of the County’s flood warning system.  He says new software is being installed that will improve the ability to see “in real time” when flood conditions may be imminent in certain areas of the County.  In addition, he says two new measuring devices are needed due to reconfigurations of land below Lake Patagonia.
