Heart issue ruled out for Phoenix mayorPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon's office says that doctors have ruled out any heart-related cause to hishospitalization Tuesday.
Gordon's spokesman Scott Phelps says the mayor was attending a meeting in downtown Phoenix when he decided to go to the hospital because of tightness in his chest.
Phelps says Gordon reported similar symptoms Monday.
In a statement later Tuesday, Gordon's office said the mayor underwent testing at the hospital and that doctors ruled out anything heart-related.
Gordon's office says that he "expects to make a quick recovery and quickly return to a full work schedule at City Hall."
