PHEONIX -- provides a comprehensive calendar of theater, music, dance, art, festivals and cultural attractions throughout the Valley and around Arizona - along with a Ticket Marketplace that sells discount tickets. Events featured today:

1) Following Footprints: presented by Practical Art, through October 31. This exhibition focuses on myth and mystery. Photographer Patrick Madigan captured eerie Arizona landscapes that have been sites of Big Foot encounters! If you're a fan of the horror genre, desolate desert backdrops, campfire stories, or the art of the peculiar, you won’t want to miss this show.  Practical Art is a different type of art gallery, where everything is a “practical” and can fit into your everyday living.

2) Legends in the Attic: presented by Fountain Hills Theater’s Youth Theater, open now through October 23.  The show consists of two, one-act plays, full of thrills and chills just in time for the Halloween season! The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a re-telling of the spooky classic of Ichabod Crane and the headless horseman. The author brings humor and fun to this suspenseful story to The Enchanted Attic tells the story of three children who are stranded in the attic of their great-aunt's mansion while searching for a lost treasure! These shows are put on by students, and made to suit young audiences; it is a fun family Halloween affair. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. **discounted tickets availble on Chase Ticket Marketplace!

3) PoeFest: presented by Arizona Curriculum Theater, open through October 31 at Soul Invictus in Phoenix. PoeFest is the 3rd annual Edgar Allan Poe Festival. Set in a 19th Century asylum for the criminally insane, PoeFest presents the works of Edgar Allan Poe in a chilling new way. Featuring Poe’s stories including The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Premature Burial, and many more. Thursdays through Saturdays 8:00 p.m., Sundays 2:00 p.m., and Monday, October 31 (Halloween night!) special show at 8:00 p.m.

4) Spitfire Grill: presented by Phoenix Theatre, open now through October 23. The Spitfire Grill explores the magic in redemption and the beauty of starting over.  After being released from prison, Percy finds strength in the women of the Spitfire Grill. Experience the revival of the American spirit, accompanied by a joyful musical score! Wednesdays through Thursdays 7:30 p.m., Fridays 8:00 p.m., Saturdays 3:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m., Sundays 2:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m.

5) A Vampire Tale VIII: presented by Scorpius Dance Theatre, open October 13 through October 22 at the Phoenix Little Theatre. In its eighth year, this ever-evolving, original dance production will once again captivate audiences. Experience it for yourself: the dark and sexy drama, with comedic episodes and visually stunning dance and aerial feats. Die-hard audiences will be surprised, once again, by the revised story ready for exciting new twists and turns!  Wednesdays through Saturdays 7:30 p.m. and Fridays & Saturdays 9:30 p.m. **giveaway of two (2) pairs of tickets to next Saturday’s performance (Oct. 15,) enter to win by posting your all-time favorite vampire on the Facebook page!**
