Flaming Greek Cheese at the Greater Phoenix Greek FestivalPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It's time for the 51st Annual Greater Phoenix Greek Festival!
Nick Kretsedemas and Ted Fourlis to make a very showy, not to mention tasty, Greek dish -- Flaming Greek Cheese, also called Saganaki.
It was amazing, both to see and to eat. (By the way, Fourlis is a firefighter. As cool as this is, it probably isn't something you should try at home unless you know exactly what you're doing -- and have a fire extinguisher handy.)
The 51st Annual Greater Phoenix Greek Festival will take place Friday, Oct. 7, through Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community Center, 1973 E. Maryland Ave. in Phoenix.
Tickets are $3 for adults. Kids younger than 12 are admitted free with an adult. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital.
