Man arrested in connection with Tucson bank robberyPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tuesday around 4 P.M. a man walked into the M&I Bank on Campbell just south of River Road carrying an AK-47 assault rifle.
He made off with stolen cash before cops arrived, but witnesses saw him get into a taxi cab just after robbing the bank.
Police and sheriff's deputies quickly found the cab and arrested 45-year-old Christopher Fern.
Fern had multiple guns and a lot of cash on him when he was caught. He's been booked on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
