Person pulls gun during argument, threatens severalPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX – At least one person is being detained and officers are talking to several others after an early morning 911 call.
Phoenix officers were called out to the neighborhood of 79th and Clarendon avenues at about 6 a.m. Friday.
Video from the scene showed at least nine people sitting on the sidewalk outside a house, waiting to be interviewed by police.
According to officers on the scene, the situation started with some kind of argument inside the home. At some point, a man pulled a gun and pointed it an another man. That’s what prompted the 911 call.
Police arrived on the scene quickly and were able to defuse the potentially dangerous situation.
The man who pulled the gun was taken into custody.
Detectives are stilling trying to sort everything out.
Police have not released any details about what led up to the argument or exactly what happened inside the home.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
Police had cleared the scene by about 8 a.m.
