PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) -- A Yavapai County woman is facing 12 years in prison for attempting to stab a rival and then attempting to run people down in her car.
Josie Bennett, 30, of Prescott Valley appeared in court Monday to accept a plea deal after she was originally charged with attempted first-degree murder.
Prescott police say that a year ago, Bennett made threats to her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend saying she would kill her.
Bennett got drunk, drove to the girlfriend's home, tried to stab her, missed and caused a superficial injury. She then got into a car and tried to run people over before crashing.
The Daily Courier reports Bennett pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal damage.
