Tucson woman killed by trainPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A gruesome end for a young Tucson woman, after she struggled to escape an on-coming train early Sunday morning.
It happened around 2:00 A.M. at the railroad crossing near 7th Street and 7th Avenue.
Police say 23-year-old Ana Samoza's car got stuck as she was crossing the tracks.
Shortly after, a train began approaching.
Samoza got out of the car, but fell on the tracks, and the train hit her. She later died at the hospital.
Three passengers in her car managed to escape without injuries. Police say alcohol may have been a factor.
