PHOENIX – Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested the manager of a Days Inn that was the target of an employer sanctions/illegal immigration operation in August.
After a two-month investigation, deputies raided the hotel at Fifth Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix on Aug. 24. It was determined that 10 of the 18 workers were using false information to gain employment. One employee was arrested during the raid.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Jorge Molinar on Wednesday.
“Molinar avoided arrest along with nine others and had the audacity to return to the work place,” Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in a news release. “This is one example of illegal aliens thumbing their nose at this office and the laws against illegal immigration. The investigation into the owner of the Days Inn, who hired Molinar, continues.”
This was MCSO's 51st employer sanctions/illegal immigration investigation
