Residents evacuated afer high-rise fire in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Approximately 300 people were evacuated from a Phoenix high-rise building after a fire broke out Tuesday morning.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, security personnel at the Landmark Towers at Central and Highland avenues reported alarms going off on the third floor at about 7:45 a.m.

Firefighters found a small contents fire in one of the condominium units.

There were about 300 people in the building at the time. They were evacuated and the fire was quickly extinguished.

No injuries were reported.
