So how do you come up with a list like this? Travel + Leisure used attendance figures supplied by the attractions themselves or from government tourist authorities, along with industry and media reports.
The United States has long been among the most popular places for international visitors, but you don't get attendance figures like these without lots of Americans choosing to spend their tourist dollars close to home.
