Tucson headlines: Murder investigation; Motorcycle accident; Arson charge

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A murder investigation is underway on Valencia Road near 6th Avenue.

An apartment manager called police about a foul odor coming from inside a unit.

Inside officers found the body of a Latino man with obvious signs of trauma.  It looked like the body had been there for several days.

The dead man hasn't been identified yet, and the investigation continues.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A motorcyclist who wasn't wearing a helmet was involved in a traffic accident at Mountain Avenue and Mabel street earlier tonight.

Tucson Fire responded to just before 8 o'clock.

Details of the accident have not been released yet.

TFD transported him to the level one trauma center with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson man is charged with arson, just hours after he was interviewed by Fox 11 News concerning a house fire.

Armando Moreno, 42, lived in the home near Ajo and 12th Street with his elderly father who is in a wheelchair.

Moreno appeared emotional while talking about getting his father out of the home.

"He smelled smoke when I opened the door.  In the back bedroom, it just and I tried to pull some stuff up but I just took him out," said Moreno.

TPD arrested Moreno later Thursday afternoon on charges of arson, endangerment and domestic violence.

No one was hurt in the fire but his elderly dad will be displaced.
