Tucson crime report: Fatal shooting; Stolen vehicle, couple wanted; Mental patient closes 22nd

TUCSON, Ariz. -- One man is dead after a shooting in mid-town Tuesday night.

Police were called about 10:30 after hearing gun shots in the area of first avenue just south of Fort Lowell Road.

When officers arrived, they found one man shot.

Jonathon McKinney, 24, of Tucson was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooters took off before police arrived.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Police are asking for help finding two people who allegedly showed up at a Quik Mart in a stolen vehicle.

Take a look at this video.

About two weeks ago, security cameras recorded a man and woman pulling into the Quik Mart on Flowing Wells Road North of Wetmore in a stolen silver 2002 Honda Accord.

They abandoned the stolen car, walking away from the store.

Anyone with information about this couple, is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- 22nd Street was shut down Wednesday from Cherry to Tucson Boulevard, when a man threatened to jump off the Aviation Highway overpass at 22nd Street.

Apparently the man was being committed to a mental health facility, and refused to go.

Police got him to come down.

He man was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and the road was re-opened.
